OUR THINKING

Effective Organisation _WHY

Poor organisational effectiveness limits growth

Organisational effectiveness is about how effective your business is at achieving its goals. The term is often used interchangeably with organisational development and design.

To make organisational effectiveness happen, leaders must focus on aligning people, people processes, business structure and culture, to support the strategy.

To complement rational alignment and strategic clarity, leaders must also engage their employees at an emotional level in order to achieve superior business performance.

The payback for organisations that do it well is: better financial metrics, improved employee retention, high levels of customer satisfaction, and perhaps most importantly, the right platform for growth.

Effective Organisation _WHAT

Building Powerful Organisations

A powerful organisation is one that serves people's ability to perform, and as a result enhances their sense of accountability.

Too often it's the other way round; employees are 'servicing' the needs of the organisation whilst the organisation stands in the way of their performance and ability to meet customers' needs.  At worst, this can provoke a culture of 'parent-child', reducing the accountability people feel about their work.

We know that effective organisations have more purpose-driven employees, specifically individuals that feel "I want to". Ineffective organisations breed more stress drivers, and individuals driven more by "I have to".

We believe that organisational effectiveness can be the ingredient that takes companies from good to great.
